The Biogateo model by Biomecanics has been designed especially for the phase between crawling and the first steps. They respect the morphology of the baby's foot, adapting to the various stages of growth without compromising their natural development.

During the phase between crawling and their first steps, it is usual for babies to walk barefoot in safe areas, such as inside the house or in the garden, so that they can feel the ground more accurately and start to explore the world around them safely. However, there are situations when it is not safe for them to walk barefoot, so Biomecanics - together with the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia - has developed the Biogateo model, with similar characteristics to walking barefoot, but with the safety of an ergonomic and biomechanical protective base that meets the specific needs of the natural development of the baby's foot.

Biomechanical Outsole:

The sole of the Biogateo model has a wider base than that of conventional footwear to ensure greater balance and stability during the first steps. It is also thin, non-slip and highly flexible, so that the baby can better feel the ground he/she steps on and can walk with more confidence. In addition, the grooved detail in the metatarsal area promotes the necessary adherence to the ground, making it easier to push when crawling.

Side Stabilizer

Ergonomic design with soft side stabilizers in the heel area - an approved technology developed in collaboration with the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia - protects the baby's foot without compromising the natural movement of the ankle.

Antibacterial Insole

Antibacterial insole, highly breathable and flat, designed specifically for the feet of babies who, at this stage, have not yet developed the plantar arch. As it is removable, it allows airing, sanitizing, and makes it easier to check the size of the baby's foot when necessary.

Natural Materials

Biomecanics' shoes are made of leather and other natural materials, free of chromium and nickel, and with the use of water-based glue. In addition to that, its production does not include small parts that could come off and be potentially dangerous for babies.
